Introduction
Spend an evening with our head barman as he walks you through the heritage, the science and the showmanship behind the perfect Guinness pour. From the temperature of the glass and the correct angle of the tilt to the famous 119.5-second settle, this is a deep dive into a beer that takes itself — and its pour — very seriously. By the end, you'll know exactly why no two pints of Guinness are ever quite the same.
You'll taste three different pours side by side, comparing a textbook stout to a rushed one to a perfect one, and learning to spot the difference instantly. We also cover the history of the Dublin brewery, the cultural weight of the harp logo and a few lesser-known facts about the famous nitrogen widget. The session ends with a printed at-home pour guide so you can practice on your own tap or kitchen sink.
Each session is capped at 16 guests so everyone gets one-on-one time with the barman. Tickets include three full tasting pints, a small plate of warm Irish bites — boxty, sausage rolls and a slow-cooked beef stew — plus a Claisebrook Guinness tulip glass to take home. Book early; we run this only once a month and it consistently sells out within days.
